will aim to increase the number of underrepresented students pursuing careers
in academia.One facet of this program
is the FACES Career Initiation Grant.The program will award one $30,000 "Career Initiation Grant"
to a promising doctoral graduate student that accepts a tenure track faculty position in engineering or science related
field at a U.S. college or university.These funds are intended to assist newly minted PhD's at an early stage
in their academic careers.The grant can
be used to purchase research equipment, travel, and support graduate and/or
