Rodney Averett

Rodney Averett is a Ph.D. student in the Woodruff School of Mechanical Engineering.  I completed both my Master’s and Bachelor’s degrees in Mechanical Engineering from Georgia Tech.  I have been a student in the Woodruff School since Spring 2002.  Currently, my research deals with the mechanical behavior of single nanocomposite polymer fibers that have been exposed to uniaxial fatigue conditions.  For characterization of these materials, experimental techniques will be developed and FEA techniques will be employed.  My scheduled date of completion of the doctoral program is Spring 2007.
