Brian Wayman
Brian H. Wayman attended the University of Maryland Baltimore County (UMBC) as a Meyerhoff Scholar and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering. At UMBC, Mr. Wayman was active in professional organizations, serving as president of the National Society of Black Engineers as well as the Engineering Council of Majors. Upon graduation, Mr. Wayman attended the Georgia Institute of Technology for graduate school where he earned his Masters of Science in Mechanical Engineering. He is now pursuing a doctorate degree in Mechanical Engineering at Georgia Tech. His research interests are in the field of bioengineering, where he seeks to understand how mechanical factors influence arterial remodeling. As a graduate student, Mr. Wayman has received several distinctions. He has been a Whitaker Fellow, Georgia Tech FACES Fellow, Georgia Tech STEP Fellow, and a Georgia Tech President’s Fellow.
